The Sarasota County Rowing Club (SCRC) is a non-profit corporation which promotes the sport of rowing for adults, men and women. SCRC has 100 members which range in ages from 23 to 80 and participate in both sculling and sweep rowing, competitively and recreationally.
We row most everyday, mostly in the mornings as early as 5:45 a.m.

Masters Learn to Row Class
Where: SCRC Boatyard, 800 Blackburn Point Rd., Osprey, FL 34229
What: Learn the basics of sweep rowing by land and on-the-water training through (8) 2-hour sessions.
When: Sep 7, Saturday, 3 to 5 pm (land training at Scullers Clubhouse);
Sep 9 - 20, MWF, 6 to 8 pm (water training);
Sep 22, Sunday, 8 to 9:30 am (mixed water practice, skills/drills);
Cost: $250, paid in advance by check or PayPal (no refunds unless canceled by the club)
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Touch your ankles without bending your knees;
Sustain aerobic activity for at least 15 minutes;
Lift 35 lbs. over your head;
Fit into narrow boat (not more than 20");
Swim (tread water a minimum of 10 minutes);
and Bend your knees to the squat position.
